Creating a safer, more secure digital world by putting people at the heart of digital security

The purpose of the Institute is to solve global security challenges through world-leading, interdisciplinary, socio-technical research.  We take a “whole of society” approach, with a community of  over 50 experts in behavioural and social science aspects of digital security (including academic staff,  researchers, and doctoral research students). We have a suite of labs in which we can conduct cutting edge research that aims to help make the UK a more innovative, safe, secure, and resilient digital society, to develop the next generation of leaders in digital security and behaviour, and to help advance the UK as a global leader in this domain.
